LARGO, MD – Prince George’s Child Resource Center was selected to receive a grant from the Maryland Highway Safety Office to purchase child safety car seats to distribute through our programs at our Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Center. Car seats will be distributed at no cost to families.
Since 1990, Prince George’s Child Resource Center has been working to help make sure families have access to quality, affordable child care, health care and other services. Each year the Resource Center supports more than 1,500 families and trains more than 2,000 child care providers, parents and human services professionals.
For more than 30 years, PGCRC has provided welcoming, supportive climates that are free of bias or discrimination and affirm families’ dignity and potential by embracing strength-based philosophies, cultural humility, linguistically sensitive services, within a racial and gender equity framework. PGCRC’s work and reputation are built on the values and strategies that research has proven are most effective in addressing these disparities.
Prince George’s Child Resource Center prioritizes the safety of the children served through our programs by providing child safety car seats and promoting child passengers to be properly restrained in a motor vehicle.
