Our Team
Our team is comprised of individuals who hail from 13 countries and speak a multitude of languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, Haitian Creole, Russian, Armenian, Dari, and Farsi! We aim to reflect those we serve through our diversity and cultural competencies. We aim to use our unique stories to shape the lens of education, training, support, and resource referrals through which we connect with families and communities.

Diana Marriaga
I’m from Colombia, I’ve been with CRC for 5 years, I speak Spanish, My dream for CRC is that we will become the first and one stop for families with children 0-5 years old that seek supportive services.
Fun Fact- I used to teach a salsa dancing class years back.
LaChey Maynard
I love to shop and spend time with my kids. Last year I took our first international trip to Santa Marta, Colombia for a Mommy and Me trip. I like to go out and spend time with my friends and family.
Fun Fact: I love to try new recipes with the kids and do different activities with them.
Nicollette Carroll
What I enjoy most about my role as Program Supervisor, is that I am able to use what I have learned to support my colleagues. I do not speak any other languages but I would really love to learn American Sign Language.
I love my children, the Martin Lawrence show and tacos.

I am from Afghanistan. I speak Farsi and Dari. I like sharing ideas with families.

I love to read and write during my free time. I would love to travel to different states and out the country. Lastly, I love helping people.

I have been in the program for 1 month and I like the training to better partner with families. Fun Fact: In my spare time I like to write poems.

Gloria Huddleston
I have been with Child Resource Connect for the past 4 years. I came onboard as the Lead Nurse Supervisor to implement the Family Connects International RN Home Visitor Program. However, one week after my start date we went into the Covid-Pandemic Shut down. Prior to that I am the founder of a non-profit organization whereby I was the CEO/Executive Director for 18 years.
My background that prepared me for my position with Family Connects is that of a registered nurse with experience in newborn and nicu baby care along with being a nurse case manager with the Academy of Educational Development (AED). I also developed for the African American Maternal Health Coalition “Having a Healthy Baby Seminars” and from the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), a Lactation Educator.
What I like most about my role with CRC is working with my Family Connects Team at Case Conference.
Rocio Gomez
I am from Las Vegas, NV and this summer will be my third year with CRC. I am bilingual as I speak Spanish (my parents are from Mexico). I love that I am able to build rapport with the caregivers and provide my time and quality care.
Ana Villanueva
I am originally from El Salvador, I am bilingual in Spanish. I started my role as a Home Visiting Nurse with CRC in 2023 and I love that I can help my Latino/Hispanic community, it was always one of my dreams to give back to my community. I have previous experience as a med surg floor nurse at Doctor’s Community Hospital. My essence is embracing my roots.
Fun Fact: I enjoy taking walks at the park and enjoy a good movie on the weekends with my family!
Tamarah James
I’m from Prince George’s County. I’ve been at CRC for two years as of January. I love being able to work with new parents and their new bundles of joy. Fun Fact: I love horseback riding.
Allison Smith
I was born and raised in PG county. As a nurse, I love being able to connect with caregivers and share valuable information and resources.
Mariela Vargas
I am a social work major. I am from Nicaragua. I have been with the company for 3 years. I love my job! Fun Fact: I love anime and cats!
Mariela Hakans
I’m from Bolivia and speak Spanish. I’ve been at CRC for 8 years and started as a home visitor in the Healthy Families Program. I love working with families and children and I have 2 little ones of my own. Fun Fact: I love to travel and have been to Ireland, Italy, Peru, Canada and London to name a few.

My name is Jeniffer Hernandez, and I’m an office manager with 11 years of professional experience. My passion for office management comes from my love for personal interaction and organizational excellence. For four years, I worked as a bounty hunter – that’s my fun fact!
Dr. Susanna McPhilomy
I have been teaching Adult Ed at this center since January 2022. I am an adjunct faculty with PGCC. My teaching experience in ESL is 47 years. I love my students and was rewarded with a Kennedy Award for being an inspirational teacher in 2017. I enjoy playing the piano and hanging out with my little Shih Tzu, Coco Chanel!
Kathia Donalicio
I’m passionate about empowering families to achieve their goals. Through collaboration and resource connection, I help families navigate challenges and build a brighter future. Fun Fact: I love dancing to salsa music!
Dessalina Roberts
I enjoy being creative and using my hands for gardening, as well as learning about technology. Fun Fact: I have traveled to five countries outside of the US and have gained valuable insights into different cultures.
Bienvenida Jaimes
I have always been very crafty and have worked as a development teacher for the past 14 years. Fun Fact: I enjoy sewing and painting colorful creations on a blank canvas during my free time, and I also love to dance.

Sheila Maness
I have been a part of Child Resource Connect for 3 years. I have over 25 years of experience in the fields of early childhood education and special education, and I hold degrees in psychology and special education. I have worked as a teacher, director, educational coordinator, and was previously the Quality Assurance Specialist in Prince George’s County for Maryland EXCELS.
Fun Fact: I enjoy making quilts and taking walks with her Rhodesian Ridgeback Evie.
Paul Armstrong
I have worked at Child Resource Connect, then known as Prince George’s Child Resource Center since 1993. In addition to my current role, I also teach Early Childhood Education workshops, classes and seminars for CRC. One of my main passions is advocating for the rights of children with special needs and inclusion. I received The ARC of Prince George’s County 2010 Award of Excellence for Advocacy honoring my efforts to educate people, parents and child care providers about The Americans with Disabilities Act, its effect on child care, and the importance of inclusion in society as well as child care settings.
Fun Fact: I have memorized all the zip codes in Prince George’s County andI’ve never worked for the post office!
Shelby Brown
I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology, and completed my clinical internship for my graduate program at a Youth Service Bureau. It was there that I provided individual, family, and group mental health services to children and their families.
Fun Fact: I enjoy completing arts and crafts!
Tya’ Burris
I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore in Cambridge, MD. I graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2003. I am blessed to have 2 beautiful children, a girl and boy, and I love being around family and friends from time to time.
Fun Fact: I love to go shopping and out to eat!
Danequa Offei
I have a B.S in Child & Family Development, and a M.Ed. in Special Education. I enjoy working with children and families. Having the opportunity to give back to the child care community has been very rewarding. Originally from Norwalk, Connecticut, I have lived in Maryland for six years. I am a mom to a beautiful daughter. In my spare time I enjoy crafting and spending time with family.
Fun Fact: One fun fact about me is that my favorite color is blue.
Karla Simpson
Karla Simpson is a Program Assistant at Prince George’s Child Resource Center. Karla provides technical assistance and support to the Early Childhood Mental Health Team, The Childcare community and the families we serve.
Fun Fact: Karla loves taking family trips and she enjoys spending time with her grandsons.
Laura Terrell
I have lived in Maryland over 25 years and have loved my work at CRC for 28 years! I love helping child care professionals see their visions come to life! My goal is to continue to help CRC create healthy and nurturing environments for children. One of my favorite activities is hiking in Catoctin State Park.
Germaine Adams
I’m from Maryland 7 yrs and I love helping people help themselves. I have a background in Early Childhood Education and I dream of becoming a yoga instructor.
Jacqueline Johnson
Hello, I am from Richmond, VA, and have worked as the TA and Early Childhood Business Coach for two years. I enjoy assisting early childhood professionals and am dedicated to coaching best business practices and assisting with services to help meet regulatory requirements, quality of care, professional development, and business goals.
Fun Fact: I am a second-year gardener and have dedicated my entire backyard to raised bed gardening.
Stacey King
I am from Annapolis, MD. I have been with the CRC for 4 years. While working at the CRC as the Early Childhood Specialist/ Infant and Toddler Coach, I have had the opportunity to coach and train many individuals passionate about the care, growth and development of children. I have a strong background in the Social Work field and have worked in the community, child welfare and family support for over 30 years.

I have been working for 2 yrs at Child Resource Connect. I have over 10 yrs experience working with families & children. I value creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Aleace Douglas
I am the Training Registrar with a background in Early Childhood Education. I have over 20 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field. I have been in my current role at the CRC for 5 years. My work is centered on assisting Early Childhood Education professionals with locating and registering for state of Maryland approved core of knowledge, pre-service and continuing education training. When I’m not working, you can find me in my kitchen baking or taking virtual baking classes.
Tammie Thomas
I have been an employee here for almost two years. My love and passion for working to assist family child care providers with startups and setting business goals has helped me to successfully help others. The GOFCC program that I oversee means so much to me as it helps future family child care providers with their startup process which I am passionate about because I have a 10+ years experience working as a Preschool teacher and have been a family child care owner in the past.
Fun Fact: I love the basic lifestyle!
Lizbeth Lucero
I’ve been at CRC for 25 years! I was born in Mexico City and yes, I love spicy food! I’m also a chocoholic- milk chocolate please. I love what I do – finance. Even though I don’t work with direct services, I help with the foundation work to run all programs smoothly and to be in compliance with funders. I work behind the scenes but I am always so proud of the end results.

Yenny Lucero
If this organization was a person. I am a proud auntie! I have witnessed CRC go from good to great. I have had a tiny role in the evolution of a young lady growing into a sophisticated and mature woman during my 22 year tenure. Early childhood is the foundation to a better future for everyone and I’m proud to be part of that strong start for children, even though I execute it through my role in development and communications at CRC.

Eric Fitzgerald
I was born in Maryland but lived my first 9yrs. in San Diego before returning in 1975. In October 2010 I started as a contractor for PGCRC and became “part of the family” in 2021. Helping others is very rewarding for me and I get to do that a lot as their IT guru. This is also why I love working for CRC, because their mission is to help others!
Fun Fact: Two of my favorite hobbies are biking and camping, and I have biked my age in milage for the last four years from Assateague to Bethany Beach and back. I hope to do 59 mi. this August!
